In the Prem Prakash Panth there is tradition of
dedicating a day to Satguru, like in the most of
ashrams a special prayer session is held on
Saturday just because Satguru Teoonram Ji were
born on Saturday.
Similarly at many ashrams of Prem Prakash
Mandal, Swami Teoonram Janam Choith [started by
Baroda's Dharam Tirth Ashram] is celebrated on
forth day from the full moon day, again to
mark the birthday of Satguru Swami Teoonram.
Annual day celebration are marking the day of
establishment of respective ashram and often
grouped with the Varasi or Janam Utsav of
founder.
Though at Gandhinagar Kolhapur, Prem Prakash
Panth moment was boosted with the visit of Swami
Udhavdas (Ahmedabad) in the year 1963 and
Satguru Swami Sarvanand , some time around 1978
but this is fact that philosophy of the path got
deeply rooted with Sindhi Samaj as the result of
regular visits (since 1967) of Satguru Swami
Shanti Prakash, even the plot donated for the
construction of temple by Shri Bakhatrai Katar &
Brijlal Hirani was the inspiration of Swami
Shanti Prakash.
Satguru Swami Shanti Prakash Ji Maharaj were
born on day of Raksha Bamdhan [Hindu Festival,
celebrated to mark affection of sister and
brother] which usually celebrated in the August
month and t of 15 August on which Swami Ji left
the physical world for heavenly abode hence Shri
Balram Savalani and other devotees of panth has
decided to dedicate 15th day of each calendar
month to memories of Swami Shanti Prakash Ji
Maharaj.
The celebration is named as "Swami Shanti
Prakash Manvanchhit Dinhu" [Day of Fulfillment
of wishes] on this day special Satsang is held
both times morning and evening. Prominent Saints
of Prem Prakash Mandal are invited to bless the
devotees and explore life of Satguru Swami
Shanti Prakash.
This is surprising pleasure for the people of
Gandhinagar Kolhapur, that many ashrams, from
various cities showing interest in starting this
monthly celebrations at their own city. No
wonder if, in future Swami Shanti Prakash
Manvanchhit Dinhu might become integral part of
yearly celebration calendar of many ashrams like
the Janam Choith of Satguru Teoonram. |
