Dev Prakash Ji Maharaj, successor of Satguru Swami
Shanti Prakash were born on 1st January 1938 as
the son of Tulsibai and Hukumatrai Ahuja in the
village Hyderchandya of District Larkana in the
Sindh [the place is at present part of Pakistan].
His birth name is Sanmukhlal.
In the 1947
independence from the British Rule and
construction of new nation Pakistan, initiated
migration of Hindu Population from the Sindh,
Punjab and other areas, which become part of
Pakistan. Family of Hukumatrai Ahuja migrated to
India and settled at Ulhasnagar near Mumbai in
Maharashtra.
Boy Sanmukhdas was admitted to S. E. S. High
school Ulhasnagar for primary education, Here he
learned and passed examination in Hindi and
Sanskrit language but couldn't keep the studies on
going and this resulted in creation of a kind of
worry among the parents. Being the true devotee of
Swami Shanti Prakash Tulsibai and Hukumatrai
prayed swami ji about the future of boy and on
advise of swami ji left the boy at Swami Tenuram
Ashram Ulhasnagar to serve and live with Swami ji.
Sanmukhdas started Spiritual life by living at
ashram and serving the master with faith and
dedication. soon his interest in Hindi and
Sanskrit noticed by Swami Shanti Prakash and for
the future of Sanmukhdas swami ji decided to send
him to Varanasi [also known as Kashi or Banaras]
for higher studies and education of Hindu
religious books. It took long eight years and
Sanmukhdas acquired one of the highest degree
Vedanta Acharya .After returning back to ashram at
Ulhasnagar, Sanmukhdas was allowed for occasional
speaking on the religious teaching.
During the
1978, looking at progress made by him Swami Shanti
Prakash Ji gave him name Saint Dev Prakash and
started to take him on tours and often asking him
to guide the masses about the spiritual progress
and how to attain Moksha the ultimate aim of human
life.
In the year 1992 when earth journey of Swami
Shanti Prakash was completed, saint Dev Prakash
now to be known as Swami Dev Prakash took charge
of various activities started by swami ji.
At
present swami Dev Prakash ji not only taking care
of institution, like Sant Tenuram Ashram, Shri
Radheshyam Gau Shala, Janta Janardhan Parishad,
Sunder Sewak Sabha, Suwarag Dham Shamshan Bhoomi
and Yoga Kendra, started by Swami Shanti Prakash
Maharaj but also expanded the work of his master
with Swami Shanti Prakash Ashram Trust and swami
Shanti Prakash Prakartik Chikitsalaya [Nature Care
Canter]. For the safe guarding the life of common
people Swami Dev Prakash Maharaj encouraged local
devotees for constructing Swami Shanti Prakash
Ghat on river Panchganga at Gandhinagar Kolhapur.
This was the will of Swami Shanti Prakash Maharaj
to have a temple and rest house for the devotees
at Varanasi and with the blessings of master Swami
Dev Prakash Maharaj has successfully constructed a
building of Gopal Krishna Mandali and Vishram Grah
[rest house] at Varanasi.
Swami Dev Prakash Maharaj ji are the symbol of
simplicity and have a heart filled with mercy and
affection for the poor and needy ones. They are
universal well wisher in true sense as their mercy
and blessings showers alike on all human beings
irrespective of religious Panth followed by the
person. For the welfare and guidance of common
people Satguru Swami Dev Prakash Ji Maharaj are
publishing their thoughts in small booklet format
titles as Dev Vani. |
